This skilled trade role assembles and erects structural steel frameworks for buildings, bridges, and other large constructions. They are crucial for creating the robust skeletal structures that form the foundation of major infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities involve interpreting blueprints and structural drawings, connecting steel beams and columns using bolts or welding, and operating heavy lifting equipment (e.g., cranes, hoists). They work at heights, ensure precise alignment of components, and install decking and other structural elements.
